Sometimes, I think I should just rename this blog "I Will Try Anything Once."
This includes (but is not limited to) hiking barefoot through the mud into the bush near Lodgepole, Alberta, just to shoot guns in the pouring rain.
"It's always good to have a shotgun, especially when you're camping," Mark said to me in full sincerity, over morning coffee. I knew then that it was going to be a good day.
Unfortunately, there is no video footage of the three clay pigeons that I shot out of the air. (Y'know--as opposed to on the ground.)
You'll just have to take my word for it and trust that if there's a zombie apocalypse, you'll probably want me on your team. (I'm also really good at starting fires.)
To annoyingly quote about 20 different people that I've talked to since arriving home, you can take the girl out of Alberta, but you can't take the Alberta out of the girl.
*Profanity fully warranted. (Sorry Mom.)
ALBERTA!! Fuck yeah.. Fuck yeah!
