I baked for Brie today.

Brie,

Lately I've been missing you tons. We got your postcard yesterday.

So today, I made pumpkin pie for the girls, and then as an after-thought I also made a carrot cake for you. I know you like the cream cheese icing, so this time I actually made it from scratch. It's sitting in the fridge right now, waiting for the cake to cool enough to ice it.

It's too bad you're not here to enjoy it. . .I don't think the care package would make it to Amsterdam intact.

But don't worry, there's more where that came from.

    OMG I miss you too! This post almost made me cry!! I just got off the phone with my parents (I had to call them cuz they never call me) and it made me all like wistful and stuff. Im so jealous that the girls get to eat your yummy baking and I don't. I might have to buy myself a carrot cake. . . although I haven't seen one here yet, and even if I do find one, it will never measure up to yours.

    Team Upstairs will rule again soon!
